Polling began across 45,399 booths in Bihar on Tuesday for the second phase of the Assembly elections, covering 122 constituencies across the state.
According to the Election Commission, over 3 crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots in this phase, which will decide the fate of 1,302 candidates. The electorate includes 1.95 crore male voters, 1.74 crore female voters, and 943 third-gender voters.
Voting began at 7 AM and will continue throughout the day under elaborate security arrangements. The India-Nepal border has been sealed, and authorities have stepped up vigil in sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents.
