Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church, Lincoln Heights Outreach Incorporated , and the 513 Relief Mobile Food Pantry partnered to offer a one-stop shop for families in need.
On Monday, Lincoln Heights Missionary Baptist Church offered relief for furloughed federal employees.
"We are assisting with utilities for furloughed federal employees, and we are also giving away SNAP cards for $150 for as many people as we can," Rev. Dr. Julian Cook said.
That support was distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies lasted.
