Massachusetts’ two U.S. senators are defending their refusal to join other Democrats in voting Sunday to approve a bipartisan plan to reopen the federal government.
On Sunday, the Senate voted 60-40 to advance a House-passed short-term funding measure that could end the federal government shutdown, now in its 41st day.
