Jay Leno is sharing an update on how wife Mavis is doing amid her battle with dementia.
Back in January 2024, the 75-year-old comedian and former late-night host was granted a conservatorship over his wife’s estate after she was diagnosed with “advanced dementia.”
Nearly two years later, Jay shared an update on how he and Mavis are both doing.
“It’s not work, because people come up, and say they feel so sorry,” Jay told People in an interview published on November 9. “I understand the sympathy, because I know a lot of people are going through it, but it’s OK.”
Despite Mavis ‘ diagnosis, Jay said that he’s tried keeping an optimistic outlook on their circumstances.
“My wife is fighting dementia and all that, but it’s not cancer,” Jay noted. “I enjoy her company,
