The Fontana City Council recently approved various adjustments to its budget for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2025-26. The purpose of the changes is to address known deficiencies and reappropriate project budgets from the previous year that were not complete as of June 30.
“In Fiscal Year ’24-25, council approved one-time-in-nature funding — whether it be for a contract, services or a project,” said Jessica Brown, chief financial officer for the city of Fontana. “If those were not completed by June 30, the departments were asking to carry those forward to complete those approved actions.”
