A north suburban Beach Park man who was shot last week in a murder-for-hire plot later died from his injuries, authorities said Monday.

Oscar Ochoa-Tello was shot on Wednesday morning while sitting inside his car outside his home along North Sheridan Road and Kings Way Drive. Ochoa-Tello was warming up his vehicle before going to work, Lake County sheriff's officials said.

The 46-year-old died from his injuries on Saturday. Preliminary results showed he died from complications of multiple gunshot wounds, the Lake County Coroner's Office said.
