As the Toronto Sceptres head back into training camp ahead of season No. 3 of the PWHL, they do so knowing they will need to find a way to replace a lot of offence they lost during the off-season in free agency and expansion.

Among those losses were Hannah Miller’s 10 goals, Sarah Nurse’s six goals, Julia Gosling’s four goals and Izzy Daniel’s two goals and Hayley Scamurra’s one.

That’s a total of 23 goals lost from a lineup that produced a total of 72 for the season. That’s a total of just under 32%, so there’s a lot to make up for.

Ella Shelton arrives from New York from that draft-night deal the Sceptres pulled off, and she scored eight with the Sirens last season, so she should bite into the deficit.
