WASHINGTON — Veterans Day, the annual holiday that honors those who served in the U.S. military, is on Tuesday, Nov. 11.
The celebration, which falls on Nov. 11 each year, is a federal holiday, meaning some government offices and institutions may be closed.
Although it is a federal holiday, many shops are still open for their usual business hours.

As is usually the case on federal holidays, the U.S. Postal Service will not deliver mail on Tuesday, Nov. 11, in observance of Veterans Day this year.
Post offices across the U.S. will be closed for the holiday, and mail delivery will be paused.
