It's been a turbulent start to the off-season for the Wellington Cowboys, but there is plenty of fight within the club and community.

The club will elect its third president in roughly six months on Sunday, November 16, while Blake Ferguson has already departed , and another club great is likely to follow him out the door.

Current club vice president Tony Wilson confirmed Justin Toomey-White won't be reapplying for the Peter McDonald Premiership captain-coach's role for next season, and the expectation is he will play elsewhere in 2026.
