A second adult has life-threatening injuries

One adult and two children have been killed in a collision between a truck and another vehicle.

The crash occurred west of Melbourne on Tuesday, November 11, shortly after 9.30am local time.

A second adult has life-threatening injuries and is expected to be airlifted to hospital, while the truck driver appeared to have minor injuries, Victoria Police said in a statement.

“The vehicle appears to have rolled and been crushed,” the statement read.

The area in Stoneleigh, about 200 kilometres west of Melbourne, was cordoned off while emergency services respond to the scene.

The statement added: "Surrounding roads are blocked while police and emergency service personnel respond to the scene."
