New Delhi: A sudden explosion near the historic Red Fort metro station in Delhi on Monday evening has thrown the national capital into panic. At least eight people have been confirmed dead, with several others injured. The blast, which occurred in a car parked outside the Lal Quila metro station, remains under investigation, and authorities have yet to confirm the exact nature of the explosion.

In response to the incident, Northern Railway (NR) has heightened security across five critical stations within the Delhi division.
