WHITE HALL, W.Va. (WBOY) — A week after members of the Valley Volunteer Fire Department walked out of a meeting with the town council in White Hall to settle a dispute over the department's substation, the town has offered a solution.

During a regularly scheduled town meeting Monday night, the town agreed to continue the department's lease of a bay at the White Hall town building for $10/month.

The two sides have been butting heads for a few weeks after firefighters told 12 News that they received a letter abruptly ending their lease at the White Hall building. Town officials later told 12 News and the firefighters that the termination was due to the department removing equipment from the station, to which firefighters said was merely a cleaning and downsizing operation.
