( NewsNation ) — Five members of the MS-13 gang were found guilty of six murders, the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Central District of California announced Monday.

Officials said the killings involved victims who were strangled, shot, stabbed with knives or a machete or beaten with a baseball bat. In some cases, their bodies were thrown off a cliff or down a hill in the Angeles National Forest.

Walter Chavez Larin, Roberto Alejandro Corado Ortiz and Edwin Martinez were convicted on one count of conspiracy to violate the RICO Act. Chavez and Corado were also convicted of two counts of violent crimes in aid of racketeering murde
