The death of former American bodybuilding champion Hayley McNeff in August at age 37 sent shockwaves through the fitness community — and now the cause of her death has been revealed.
According to a TMZ report on Monday, McNeff’s cause of death was a drug overdose. The outlet reported that the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security confirmed her death was caused by acute intoxication from a deadly mix of heroin, fentanyl, 4-ANPP, cocaine and norbuprenorphine.
The manner of her death was officially listed as accidental.
