Mohammed Siraj will lead India’s pace attack along with world No. 1 Test bowler Jasprit Bumrah in the two-match Test series against South Africa, which is set to start on Friday, November 14, at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The 31-year-old pacer from Hyderabad, who is the highest wicket-taker in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2025-27 cycle, is looking forward to doing well in the home series against South Africa.
According to Siraj, the India-South Africa series will be a crucial one for India in the ongoing WTC cycle.
“This series is crucial for the new WTC cycle, especially since South Africa is the defending champion. While they drew 1-1 with Pakistan, we’re confident from our own good form; we created a positive environment, performed well in England, and won against the West Indies.
