Keeping the prevailing trend of air quality in view, the CAQM sub-Committee today has taken the call to invoke all actions laid out under the Stage 3 extent of GRAP.

Delhi has been showcasing ‘severe’ Air quality ( Delhi AQI ranging between 401-450), with immediate effect, in teh entire NCR. This is in addition to actions under teh stages I and II of the extant GRAP already in force NCR.

Bawana recorded an AQI of 462, Wazirpur 460, while both Mundka and Punjabi Bagh reported 452.

Air Quality Index (AQI) classifications are as follows: 51–100 is considered ‘satisfactory’, 101–200 ‘moderate’, 201–300 ‘poor’, 301–400 ‘very poor’, and anything above 400 falls under the ‘severe’ category.

Non-essential construction and demolition activities are to be completely banned.
