Australian AC/DC fans have waited nearly a decade to be shaken all night long again – but finally the rock legends are powering up to begin their tour down under on Wednesday.
The band, which formed in Sydney in 1973, will be back on home soil between November 12 and December 14 as part of their Power Up world tour, which has already ripped through the US and Europe. It marks their first performances here since the Rock or Bust tour in 2015.
In June, more than 370,000 tickets were sold in a single day – a one-day record on the Ticketek platform, surpassing the previous high set during the Ashes sale earlier this year.
Melbourne, the first city to be thunderstruck by Accadacca this month, has set up a range of citywide celebrations ahead of the first show on Wednesday (November 12)
