SALT LAKE CITY — Drivers on the west belt of Interstate 215 saw a major change in traffic flow on Monday.
UDOT’s John Gleason said all traffic had been shifted onto the the northbound side of I-215 between state Route 201 to just north of I-80.
The I-215 West Improved project is part of an ongoing effort by UDOT on I-215 between state Route 201 and North Temple in Salt Lake City, where the agency is reconstructing ramps and rehabilitating bridges.
In a press release, Gleason said the shift will “allow crews to focus their efforts on building the southbound side of I-215 more efficiently.”
