TOAST — Salisbury’s football team led by a touchdown early, but eventually lost 40-26 at North Surry in Friday’s first round game in the 4A West state playoffs.
Isaiah Foxx ran for two Salisbury touchdowns. Foxx threw ran for 143 yards on 21 carries and threw for 159 yards.
Jonathan Ross and Zay’Vien Heaggins had rushing TDs. Justen Eldridge had a 46-yard run. Samuel Fatovic kicked tow PATs.
Da’Rrius Jefferies led the Salisbury defense with an interception and several tackles for loss.
“Had our chances, just too many mistakes,” Salisbury head coach Clayton Trivett said. “The good news is we started three freshmen and three sophomores and had a chance to win a road playoff game.”
