Peter Wynne scored the go-ahead goal for third-seeded Delbarton, No. 9 in the NJ.com Top 20, in its 2-1 win against second-seeded Bergen Catholic in the semifinal round of the North Jersey, Non-Public A Tournament in Oradell.
Liam Murphy put Delbarton on the board six minutes into the first half with a goal off a feed from Owen Miller to take a 1-0 led.
Frank Burns tied the game for Bergen Catholic just three minutes later with an unassisted goal.
In the second half, Wynne netted the go-ahead goal in the 74th minute off a pass from Dylan Mazzarella as Delbarton took the lead.
vain Swamy made a pair of saves for Delbarton while John Coleman made three saves for Bergen Catholic.
Bergen Catholic ends its season with a 16-5-1 record.
Delbarton will face top-seeded (No. 1) St. Benedict’s
