Passengers aboard a. private travels bus had a miraculous escape when fire broke out in the vehicle near Veliminedu village in Nalgonda district, about 150 km from here in the early hours of Tuesday. The bus was on its way from Hyderabad to Kandukur in Andhra Pradesh.
Reports said the air-conditioned sleeper coach operated by Vihari travels began its ill-fated journey
around midnight in Hyderabad and had reached the Veliminedu village in Chityal mandal, when fire broke out.
The alert driver woke up the passengers, who jumped out of the vehicle just in time by breaking open the window panes. Within minutes fire engulfed the entire bus and it was reduced to a mangle of metal. There were 20 passengers in the bus, initial reports said.
