Hammonton has thought about it a lot, during the course of its 2025 field hockey season. It’s just not something the Blue Devils were supposed to talk about.

Until now.

Hammonton defeated Cherry Hill West, 1-0, in their South Jersey Group 3 semifinal at Hammonton. The second seeded Blue Devils (19-3) will face top-seeded Clearview Wednesday in the sectional final. Clearview defeated Northern Burlington, 7-0, in their semifinal.

Clearview, the top seed and defending champ, defeated Hammonton last season in the semifinal round.

“We haven’t even allowed them to talk about it,” Hammonton coach Kristen Silvesti said. “Because when we fell in the bracket, we went 1-2 -- which mean in order to have a rematch, we’d have to win three other games first. S
