On Sunday at approximately 11:30 a.m., New Mexico State Police officers responded to a violent domestic incident after scanning neighboring agency radio traffic. Officers learned through the Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center (PVRCC) of a woman calling 911, stating her ex-boyfriend was attempting to kill her and had pulled a knife. During the open 911 call, the suspect could be heard threatening to kill the victim and yelling at her for calling law enforcement. PVRCC tracked the phone via rapid SOS and relayed information, that the vehicle was traveling north on U.S. 70.
