T he American Legion Duane Ellsworth Post 129 in Queen Creek will lead the town’s official celebration of Veterans Day on Tuesday at San Tan Memorial Gardens at Schnepf Farms.

The community is invited to Queen Creek’s ninth annual Veterans Day observance Nov. 11 from 9-10 a.m. at 22425 E. Cloud Road.

“This free community event is designed to honor our local veterans and their service to the nation, while bringing together residents, civic leaders, veterans groups, and families,” according to a release.

It will include an honor guard flag ceremony, remarks by town and Legion officials, a flyover by the Navy biplane Amazing Grace II, veteran-focused vendor booths, a classic car show, a Vitalant blood drive and light refreshments.
