New Delhi: The Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d’Automobiles (OICA), the global federation of motor vehicle manufacturers, have elected Shailesh Chandra, President of the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), as their new President, effective from November 1st, 2025.
He takes over the role from John Bozzella, President and CEO of the Alliance for Automotive Innovation, USA.
Chandra will be the first Indian to lead the OICA, marking a milestone for India’s growing influence in the global automotive landscape. Chandra stated the honour it was to become the first OICA President from India, which he noted highlighted “the organisation’s global representation.”
