The domestic markets recovered sharply on Tuesday, trimming early losses as investor sentiment improved following positive global cues and renewed optimism over a possible India-US trade agreement.

After falling 411.32 points, or 0.49 percent, to 83,124.03 in early trade, the Sensex rebounded nearly 400 points to 83,491.26 around 1 pm. The Nifty, which had slipped below 25,450 earlier in the session, was trading higher at 25,559.80.
