Freshman Anna Noble saw the loose ball trickle past a Notre Dame defense and right to her feet a couple yards outside the Irish’s box.
Without hesitation, the freshman lifted her left foot and smashed the ball with all her might towards the net.
Noble watched her shot soar straight over the outstretched arm of Notre Dame goalkeeper Kate Moog and bash into the upper right corner of the net to give Trinity Hall the lead.
“It all happened so fast. It was crazy,” Noble said. “I just got (the ball) and went for it. It felt really good. I still can’t believe it went over the goalie and in.”
Noble’s sixth goal of the season occurred during the 54th minute of the NJSIAA South Jersey, Non-Public A semifinal bout in Oceanport, helping two-seed Trinity Hall capture a 1-0 victory over six-seed Not
