A powerful car bomb has exploded outside a sprawling district court in Pakistan's capital, killing at least five people and wounding 13 others, state-run media has reported.
According to Pakistan TV, the casualties on Tuesday local time were mostly passers-by or those who had arrived for court hearings.
There was no immediate comment by Islamabad police, who earlier said they were still investigating.
The state media said the blast, which was heard miles away, also damaged several vehicles parked outside the court, typically crowded with hundreds of visitors attending hearings.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the explosion.
Pakistan has struggled with militant attacks and a resurgent Pakistani Taliban.
