New Delhi (11.11.2025): The Government of India on Monday appointed Rajasthan’s Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant (IAS: 1991: RJ) as Union Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment , Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment . He will replace Amit Yadav (IAS: 1991: AGMUT) upon his superannuation on 30.11.2025. The Centre had picked Pant on 31.12.2023 for Chief Secretary position immediately after BJP’s victory in Rajasthan. The then Pant had replaced (IAS: 1985: RJ) as the CS. He had been posted as Secretary in the in August 2023. Sudhansh Pant had superseded six officers to become the CS of Rajasthan for his administrative acumen and credentials.
