PIMPRI: The political landscape for the upcoming Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) elections was formally set on Tuesday with the drawing of lots for seat reservations. The process, conducted at the Professor Ramkrishna More Auditorium in Chinchwad in accordance with the state election commission’s directives, paves the way for elections scheduled for January.
The civic body will be represented by 128 corporators across 32 electoral wards, with each ward electing four corporators. The reservation lottery determined the category of seats, Open, Reserved for Women, Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST), for every ward.
