Emergency services were called to reports of a break-in at a Coventry home over the weekend. In a strange development, the culprits appeared to have spilt a load of cleaning products while inside the property.

Police and fire crews attended the incident in Walsgrave late on Friday night. Upon arrival, officers called for the assistance of colleagues from Coventry fire station to ensure the liquids covering the house were not dangerous.

"We were called to reports of a burglary on Linford Walk around 10pm on Friday," a fire spokesman told Coventry Live. "We were asked to attend as a load of cleaning products had been knocked over and we were called to make sure it wasn't hazardous and that everything was safe."
