New Delhi, Nov 11: In a major breakthrough, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken over the charge of the probe of the recent blast in Delhi on November 10 after investigating officials uncovered links to a dismantled terror module in Faridabad. This move marks a step forward and escalation into the investigation, with officials indicating that a wider cross-state terror network could be involved.
The case was initially being handled jointly by the Delhi Police Special Cell, district police and Jammu & Kashmir Police. Delhi Police had earlier filed an FIR under the Unlawful Activities. Act, the Explosive Substances Act, and sections pertaining to murder and attempted murder.
