At just 20, Sinners star Miles Caton is already making an impression, both on audiences and his seasoned co-stars.
Speaking to People at the TIME100 Next Gala in New York City, the breakout actor reflected on the lessons he learned while filming the 1932-set vampire horror movie, which marks his feature debut.
“I feel like I learned a little bit from everybody,” said Caton. “I’m really cool with Mike [Michael B. Jordan], [writer and director] Ryan [Coogler], of course, and Omar Benson Miller. Shout out to Omar Miller, man. He’s got the best advice.”
Caton said he approached Sinners as a masterclass in filmmaking, observing his colleagues closely and soaking in the atmosphere on set. He singled out Coogler — who co-wrote and directed the film — as a particularly strong influence.
