Jammu, Nov 10: The All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Secretaries Association (Jammu Province) has strongly condemned the alleged assault on the Block Development Officer (BDO) Nagrota and a Panchayat Secretary by the SDPO Gandhi Nagar.

In protest, the Association has announced a two-day pen-down strike across all districts of Jammu Province.

During the strike, Panchayat Secretaries will refrain from official duties to express solidarity and protest against the incident.

The Association has demanded immediate suspension of the SDPO Gandhi Nagar, registration of an FIR against him, and revocation of the FIR lodged against the BDO Nagrota.

It further stated that the safety and dignity of officers performing official duties must always be protected.
