Official order on distribution of Indira kits in place of 5 kg rice issued

BENGALURU: An official order has been issued to provide Indira Kits instead of 5 kg of rice under the Anna Bhagya scheme.The state government issued the official order on Monday.

The Siddaramaiah cabinet recently decided to supply five ration items as part of the Indira Kit in place of 5 kg of rice. For each person on a ration card, the government will bear Rs 422 towards the Indira Kit.

The five ration items included in the Indira Kit are toor dal – 1 kg, cooking oil – 1 litre, sugar – 1 kg, salt – 1 kg, and chickpeas – 1 kg.
