The Punjab government has begun the process of distributing free wheat seeds to farmers in flood-affected districts, according to a press release from the Chief Minister’s Office.

To mark the launch of this initiative, Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Sunday flagged off seven trucks carrying wheat seeds as part of the government’s effort to provide two lakh quintals of wheat seeds free of cost to farmers who lost their crops across five lakh acres of land during the recent floods.
