The use of weight loss medications is rapidly increasing in India, with sales of Eli Lilly’s drug Mounjaro reaching Rs 1 crore in October alone. Novo Nordisk’s weight loss drug, Wegovy, has also seen a significant rise in sales. In response to this growing demand, Novo Nordisk is collaborating with Emcure to introduce a new brand of weight loss medication to the Indian market within the next few months.
