Lake-effect and upslope snow showers continue across parts of Pennsylvania this Veterans Day , with blustery winds keeping wind chills near or below freezing throughout the state.
A lake effect snow warning remains in effect until 1 p.m. for the northwest corner of the state , while a winter weather advisory covers adjacent counties.
Strong winds will be particularly hazardous in the Laurel Highlands, where a wind advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. today with gusts reaching 45 to 50 mph.
Morning temperatures range from the upper teens in typically cooler locations to nearly 30 degrees around Harrisburg, with wind chills making it feel like single digits to teens. The high today in the Harrisburg area is supposed to be 44 , but with wind gusts as high as 36 mph.
