Parts of Vermont received over 8 inches of snow overnight, and the wintry blast caused numerous collisions and brought part of Interstate 89 to a standstill on Monday night.

The towns of Enosburg, Saint Albans, Swanton, South Hero and Sheldon all received 8 inches or more of snow from Monday's storm system , which brought mostly rain to the rest of New England . Most of Vermont's heaviest snowfall was limited to the northwestern part of the state.
