Cincinnati voters have approved Issue 2 , a charter amendment that grants an additional five points on department entry exams to those who complete internships through the city's police and fire departments, aiming to attract young talent amid staffing challenges.
High scores on department entry exams can give recruits a leg up during the hiring process, increasing their seniority, which can open up opportunities for special assignments and the ability to promote, said Sgt. Grant Hunter, with the Cincinnati Police Department. Advertisement
