Doctors across England are set to stage a five-day strike this week in a dispute over jobs and pay.

Announcing the strikes last month , the British Medical Association (BMA) said the walkout will go ahead unless Health Secretary Wes Streeting returns to negotiations.

The industrial action by resident doctors, previously known as junior doctors, is planned from 7am on Friday (November 14) and will continue for five consecutive days until 7am on Wednesday (November 19).
