New Delhi, 11 November 2025: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the appointment of Shri Sudhansh Pant, IAS (RJ:91), presently in the cadre, as Secretary, Department of Social Justice & Empowerment, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. He has replaced Shri Amit Yadav, IAS (AGMUT:91), upon his superannuation on 30.11.2025.

Sudhansh Pant is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1991 batch from the Rajasthan cadre who is currently appointed to serve as the Secretary of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment of India in November 2025.

He previously served as the Chief Secretary of Rajasthan from 2024 to 2025. Before that, he served as the Health Secretary in the Health Ministry of India and has also served as OSD in the Ministry of Ports, Ship
