Light snow flurries moved quickly through parts of North Jersey and the New York City area early Nov. 11, bringing brief bursts of snow but little to no accumulation, according to the National Weather Service.

Meteorologist Alex Staarmann of the National Weather Service said the snow showers were fast-moving, with flurries passing through Manhattan into Queens before crossing southern Bergen County. A separate shower in Somerset County was expected to reach Middlesex County and Staten Island within the hour.

Snow was reported in West Milford, Bloomingdale, Ramsey and Upper Saddle River, among other towns along with Sussex County spots, but forecasters said the snow would not stick and would amount to nothing more than “white flurries.”
