Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi vowed to punish the “conspirators” behind Monday’s blast in New Delhi that killed at least eight people, even as authorities continued to investigate the cause of the deadly explosion in one of the city’s busiest areas.
“All those responsible will be brought to justice,” Modi said at an event in Bhutan, where he arrived Tuesday for a two-day visit. “Our agencies will go to the root of this conspiracy and will not spare the conspirators behind it,” he added, without indicating who the perpetrators could be.
Separately, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said at an event in New Delhi that a swift investigation was underway into the explosion.
