Liam Paro's trainer reckons Irish world-title rival Paddy Donovan is the "perfect" opponent after the pair's welterweight eliminator tussle was added to Nikita Tszyu and Michael Zerafa's Brisbane card.
The Queenslander will fight Donovan on January 16 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
Paro's promoter George Rose said on Tuesday all conditions had been agreed upon for the high-stakes bout that will determine who takes on IBF champion Lewis Crocker for the belt.
Two-time world title contender Liam Wilson, enigmatic super lightweight Billy Polkinghorn and seasoned heavyweight Demsey McKean will also feature on the undercard.
Paro won and lost a super lightweight world title before moving up to welterweight in September to fight unbeaten French veteran David Papot.
