In the midst of its 34th season, Dancing with the Stars is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a special themed night .

The ABC competition series pairs celebrity contestants with a talented crew of professional dancers to compete against each other. Since its 2005 premiere, longtime judges Carrie Ann Inaba , Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman — who died of bone cancer in 2023 and was replaced with former DWTS pro Derek Hough — critique the dance numbers.

Then, audiences vote on the dancing duos to advance and take home the Mirrorball Trophy, later renamed the Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy following his death.
