BERKELEY, Calif. (KRON) — Protests erupted at the University of California, Berkeley, as Turning Point USA held an event on campus two months after the assassination of its founder, Charlie Kirk.

The event, part of the "This is the Turning Point" tour, drew significant opposition from students and community members, resulting in violent clashes and several arrests.

The protests began in the afternoon and continued throughout the evening, with attendees leaving the event in red MAGA hats amidst chants and jeers from demonstrators.
