Timothée Chalamet is hurtling towards victory or disaster in the new trailer for Marty Supreme , A24's upcoming sports drama. Loosely inspired by the career of real-life table tennis player Marty Reisman, Chalamet's movie follows his new protagonist, Marty Mauser, a young man who believes he can become an international superstar through his sport.

In contrast to Marty Supreme 's initial teaser , which demonstrates more of the tone of an uplifting underdog story, this trailer hints at the darker side of Chalamet's lead character. The soundtrack shifts from "Forever Young" to "Everybody Wants to Rule the World," and scenes that we saw before are repositioned from another character's perspective, painting Marty as more naïve.
