Rangers won’t go back in for defender Nobel Mendy in January - despite having a deal all but tied up for him in the summer.
The Rayo Vallecano centre-back, on loan from Betis, is earning rave reviews in La Liga after playing a key role in their clean sheet against Real Madrid at the weekend.
And that has sparked rumours that Rangers might reignite their interest in the 21-year-old.
The Ibrox club had a deal in place with Mendy’s parent club Betis in the summer after beating PSV to his signature.
Everything was agreed to bring him to Glasgow before an issue flagged up in the player’s medical scuppered the transfer.
That forced Gers to switch targets and sign Derek Cornelius instead on loan from Marseille.
And with Mendy now settled at Vallecan
