Erik Angel’s Comedy for Peace promises “no politics, just laughs.” That’s something that sounds like a challenge, if not a dare, in the current everything-is-political climate.
“We are a non-political project,” insisted Angel. An Israeli-born, New York-based comedian, Angel — born Dotan Malach — has performed with acts like Maz Jobrani.
“We’re not accepting haters from either side of the conflict. We’re looking for people that believe in humanity and in bringing people together — people who have hope for a better future for everyone.”
